The present invention relates to a process for the production of a valuable compound by cultivation of a microorganism comprising cultivating the microorganism in a medium wherein all nutrients are provided in excess over the whole cultivation period and wherein a suitable amount of oxygen is fed to the culture to maintain the culture under conditions of oxygen limitation.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un composé de valeur par la culture d'un micro-organisme. Ce procédé consiste à cultiver le micro-organisme dans un milieu dans lequel tous les éléments nutritifs sont apportés pendant une période plus longue que la période de culture et dans lequel une quantité appropriée d'oxygène est introduite dans la culture afin de maintenir cette dernière dans des conditions de limitation d'oxygène.
