Novel compounds based on phenyl-substituted naphtho[l,2-g]chrysene compounds (A) are described. The compounds are obtainable by dimerisation of 3- phenylchroman (isoflavonoid) ring systems (B). Methods of synthesis of the novel dimeric compounds, compositions containing same and use of the dimers as therapeutic agents are also described.

L~invention décrit des nouveaux composés à base de composés naphto[1,2-g]chrysène substitués par un groupe phényle (A). Les composés peuvent être obtenus par dimérisation des systèmes cycliques du 3-phénylchromane (isoflavonoïde) (B). L~invention décrit également des procédés de synthèse des nouveaux composés dimères, les compositions les contenant et l'utilisation des dimères en tant qu~agents thérapeutiques.
