The invention relates to a method for integrated transmission of data in accordance with the ATM Protocol and in accordance with the Internet Protocol (IP). New ATM data packets are generated out of incoming ATM data packets which are carried over a transmission line (18) to an IP data packet. The new ATM data packets are stored in a memory (106). An IP translator memory (102) and an ATM translator memory (104) are utilized to generate the new ATM data packets. The generating of the new ATM data packets is begun before all ATM data packets of the IP data frame are received.

De nouveaux paquets de données MTA sont produits à partir de paquets de données MTA arrivant sur une ligne de transmission (18) pour former un paquet de données IP et sont mémorisés dans une mémoire (106). Lors de la production de ces nouveaux paquets de données MTA, une mémoire de traduction IP (102) et une mémoire de traduction MTA (104) sont utilisées. La production des nouveaux paquets de données MTA est lancée avant la réception de la totalité des paquets de données MTA du cadre de données IP.
