A method for mutating genes of vertebrates, preferably zebrafish, by using psoralen derivatives, preferably trimethylpsoralen; and a method for constructing genes mutated by the above method. A method for analyzing functions of a vertebrate gene which comprises mutating a pyrimidine base- containing part of the gene by using a psoralen derivative, expressing the mutated gene and examining the correlation thereof.

L'invention concerne un procédé de mutation de gènes de vertébrés, de préférence du poisson zèbre, ce procédé consistant notamment à utiliser des dérivés de psoralène et de préférence de triméthylpsoralène. Cette invention concerne également un procédé de construction de gènes mutés selon le procédé susmentionné. Cette invention concerne par ailleurs un procédé permettant d'analyser les fonctions d'un gène de vertébré, ce procédé consistant notamment à muter une partie d'un gène contenant une base pyrimidique au moyen d'un dérivé de psoralène, puis à exprimer ce gène muté et à en examiner la corrélation.
