The invention provides an improved float and float system for use in the monitoring of fluid levels, particularly in small diameter wells by way of a cable and float system. The float system includes a number of centralizers which hold the float cable near the center of the well casing and thus reduce the friction of the cable on the casing walls. The addition of weights on the float cable, either or both below the float and between the float and the top of the well casing, can improve the accuracy and operation of the system even further. A truncated cone-shaped float is provided, with a number of fins displaced evenly around the circumference of the float.
Cette invention concerne un indicateur de niveau d'eau à flotteur et supportage de flotteur améliorés conçu en particulier pour la surveillance du niveau de liquide dans des puits de petit diamètre. Le système de supportage comporte un certain nombre de centreurs servant à maintenir le câble porte-flotteur à peu près au centre du puits et à réduire le frottement du câble contre les parois du puits. L'ajout de poids soit sous le flotteur soit à la fois sous flotteur et entre celui-ci et le sommet du puits rehausse la précision des mesures et améliore encore plus le fonctionnement du système qui fait appel à un flotteur tronconique portant des ailettes également espacées sur son pourtour.
