The present invention concerns a tape magazine (10, 40, 50) especially for a handheld device for analysing a body fluid with a test tape (30) that can be unwound from a storage unit (20) and wound onto a waste unit (24) where the waste unit (24) can be driven in order to wind forward the test tape (30). The invention provides that locking means (28, 43, 51) which keep the test tape (30) under tension are integrated in the tape magazine (10, 40, 50) at least on the storage unit (20). The present invention also concerns a hand-held device ( 100) with such a tape magazine. The present invention also concerns a hand-held device (100) with a mechanical drive for the test tape (30) and a disposable hand-held device (100) with polymer-based electronic components.
