A retractable horizontal lifeline assembly includes a lifeline windable about and paid out from a rotatable drum and a housing. The housing includes a first connector and is configured and arranged to house the drum and the lifeline wound about a base of the drum. The first connector is operatively connected to a first anchorage structure, the lifeline is pulled outward from proximate the housing thereby paying out at least a portion of the lifeline from the drum, a second connector operatively connected to the lifeline is operatively connected to a second anchorage structure, and the lifeline is tensioned using a crank that rotates the drum to increase the tension in the lifeline and provides indication when the tension in the lifeline reaches a predetermined level.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble de cordage horizontal escamotable comportant une corde enroulable autour d'un tambour rotatif et déroulé à partir de celui-ci et un boîtier. Le boîtier comprend un premier connecteur et est configuré et agencé pour loger le tambour et la corde enroulée autour d'une base du tambour. Le premier connecteur est relié en fonctionnement à une première structure d'ancrage, la corde est tirée vers le haut à partir de la proximité du boîtier déroulant ainsi au moins une partie de la corde du tambour, un second connecteur relié en fonctionnement à la corde est relié en fonctionnement à une seconde structure d'ancrage, et la corde est tendue au moyen d'une manivelle qui entraîne le tambour en rotation pour accroître la tension dans la corde et fournir une indication de l'instant où la corde atteint un niveau prédéterminé.
