An abrasive-band grinding device for rolls and method for grinding rolls in which a motor rotates an abrasive band such that the abrasive band is pressed against the face of the roll to be ground. Guide pulleys are arranged in a loop of the abrasive band and, between the guide pulleys, a rotatable contact pulley is arranged over which the abrasive band is pressed against the face to be ground. The contact pulley is controlled by an actuator, preferably a motor, so that it can be inclined in relation to the roll face to be ground.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de dressage de rouleaux à bande abrasive et une méthode de dressage selon laquelle un moteur fait tourner une bande abrasive appliquée à pression contre la face du rouleau à usiner. Des poulies de guidage sont disposées dans la boucle formée par la bande abrasive et, entre ces poulies, est prévue une poulie tournante de pression servant à appliquer la bande abrasive contre la face à usiner. La poulie de pression est commandée par un actionneur, de préférence, un moteur permettant de l'incliner par rapport à la face du rouleau à usiner.
