ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A relatively simple bird perch or roost designed to provide maximum comfort for a bird includes an elongated bar for mounting in a bird cage, the bar having a generally elliptical cross section with a convex crest for supporting the base of the foot, a long convex top front surface for supporting the long front toes of a bird, a shorter convex top rear surface for supporting the shorter rear toes, and sharper front and rear edges for gripping by the flexible ends of the toes.
