A film that exhibits increased scratch resitant characteristics. The film (11) is formed from a layer of crosslinkable oligomeric resin composition on a base (34). The film is made by: forming the layer of crosslinkable oligomeric resin composition on the base, and curing the resin composition to an extent that the film exhibits a haze decrease of less than or equal to 60 % after abrading according to the ASTM D-968-81 procedure using 200 milliliters of sand. Preferably, the layer has a microstructure (22, 24, 26, 28) of alternating tips and grooves. Such films are useful in backlit displays (10) which are useful in computers and the like.
Cette invention concerne un film dont les caractéristiques de résistance aux rayures ont été améliorées. Ce film (11) est constitué d'une composition de résine oligomère réticulable que l'on dispose en couche sur une base (34). Le procédé de fabrication dudit film consiste à déposer une couche d'une composition de résine oligomère réticulable sur ladite base, et à chauffer la composition de résine jusqu'à ce que le film présente une diminution de trouble inférieure ou égale à 60 % après avoir subi une opération abrasive conforme à la procédure D-968-81 des normes ASTM qui requiert l'utilisation de 200 millilitres de sable. De préférence, ladite couche a une microstructure (22, 24, 26, 28) composée d'une alternance de crêtes et de sillons. Ces films servent à équiper les écrans rétro-éclairés (10) des ordinateurs et autres dispositifs analogues.
