A thermoplastic molding composition having low haze values, suitable for optical applications is disclosed. The composition contains a resinous component selected from the group consisting of (i) a homogeneous blend of polycarbonate resin and polycaprolactone and (ii) a copoly(carbonate-lactone) block or random copolymer, and melanin in an amount of 0.1 to 1.0 parts per hundred parts of weight of the resinous component.

L'invention porte sur une composition de moulage thermoplastique à faible valeurs de turbidité et appropriée à des application optiques. Ces compositions contiennent un composant résineux sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant (i) un mélange homogène de résine de polycarbonate et de polycaprolactone et (ii) un copolymère séquencé ou aléatoire de copoly(carbonate-lactone), et de la mélanine dans une quantité comprise entre 0.1 et 1.0 parties pour 100 parties en poids du composant résineux.
