A W-valley type roof flashing. The flashing is provided with is a flexible, sheetlike, waterproof material for use in the valley of a roof. The flashing has a first lateral planar body panel having a first ridge portion with a plurality of inwardly and downwardly sloping ridges, a first interior portion located inward from the first ridge portion, and a second lateral planar body panel having a second ridge portion with a plurality of inwardly and downwardly sloping ridges, and a second interior portion located inward from the second ridge portion. A dam is substantially centrally located and integrally formed between the first and second interior portions. The dam has a first dam portion laterally adjacent and leaklessly joined at a first flexible hinge with the first interior edge portion, a second dam portion laterally adjacent and leaklessly joined at a second flexible hinge with the second interior edge portion, and a leakless flexible joint between the first and second dam portions. The flashing is preferably manufactured of high density high molecular weight polyethylene. The flashing can be manufactured in a variety of colors to match roof shingle color or paint schemes, and is corrosion resistant.
