The present invention relates to water-dispersible polyisocyanate mixtures which a) have an average isocyanate functionality of 1.8 to 6, b) contain (cyclo)aliphatically bound isocyanate groups and c) contain 2 to 20% by weight of ethylene oxide units (calculated as C2H4O, molecular weight = 44) arranged within polyether chains, wherein the ethylene oxide portion of the polyether chains has a molecular weight of 200 to 1000 and the total molecular weight of the polyether chains is 200 to 1500, provided that when the polyether chain is initiated with glycerine dimethyl ketal, the content of ethylene oxide units is at least 10% by weight. The present invention also relates to aqueous two-component compositions containing these polyisocyanate mixtures and aqueous resins having isocyanate-reactive groups.
