Description

A method and apparatus are disclosed for positioning an RF transceiver in a known area. A plurality of fixed beacons is provided in the area. An electromagnetic environment is then dynamically mapped to the area; a communication link with the transceiver is then established and the position is computed using the established communication link and the mapping.
