A method of making a pin seam area, to be closed by a single pintle, for an endless woven multilayer papermakers fabric comprises selecting a repeating weave pattern to provide a double layer body portion, and a shed change for the warp yarns adjacent to the body portion to provide a first seaming portion at a first lateral edge and a second seaming portion at a second lateral edge. In each seaming portion the warp yarns are separated into an upper and a lower group. The weft yarn in sequence interweaves with the upper group to provide an upper layer, forms a seaming loop about a forming wire and interweaves with the lower group to provide a distinct lower layer. The method and a fabric made by the method provide improved uniformity of the seaming loops and reduced sheet marking in the seam area.
Méthode de fabrication d'une zone de coutures assemblée par aiguilletage par une tige simple pour former une toile sans fin utilisée dans la production de papier et qui consiste à sélectionner un motif répété de tissage afin de créer une structure double couche. L'invention porte également sur un changement de foule des fils de chaîne adjacents à la partie du corps afin de permettre la couture d'une première partie à un premier rebord latéral et celle d'une deuxième partie à un deuxième rebord latéral. Dans chaque zone de couture, les fils de chaîne se séparent en un groupe supérieur et inférieur. Les fils de trame s'entrelaçant en séquence avec le groupe du haut pour former une couche supérieure, formant une boucle de couture autour d'une toile de formation et s'entrelaçant avec le groupe du bas pour constituer une couche inférieure. La méthode et la toile fabriquée par cette méthode amènent une plus grande uniformité des boucles de couture et moins de marquage dans la zone de couture.
