Methods are described to increase the proportion of endoderm committed cells and pancreatic lineage cells in a culture of human embryonic stem cells which are undergoing differentiation. The method also result in a stem cell derived culture which does not have tumorigenic capability.

L'invention concerne des méthodes destinées à accroître la proportion de cellules engagées endodermiques et de cellules de lignée pancréatique dans une culture de cellules souches embryonnaires humaines qui subissent une différenciation. La méthode de l'invention permet également d'obtenir une culture cellulaire dérivée de cellules souches qui ne présente pas de fonction oncogène.
