A solar window apparatus for collecting solar energy and regulating light transmission is provided in which the solar window comprises a plurality of transparent optical elements adhered to an internal surface of a transparent pane. The optical elements each comprise an externally facing surface and an internally facing light collecting surface with a light collecting element adhered thereto, where the externally facing surface preferably has an area that is larger than that of the light collecting surface. Each optical element further comprises two or more light directing surfaces that internally reflect and concentrate light onto the light collecting elements when light is incident over a first range of angles, and transmit light when light is incident over a second range of angles.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de fenêtre solaire destiné à recueillir de l'énergie solaire et réguler une transmission de lumière, la fenêtre solaire comprenant une pluralité d'éléments optiques transparents fixés en adhérence sur une surface interne d'un panneau transparent. Les éléments optiques comprennent chacun une surface dirigée vers l'extérieur et une surface de recueil de lumière dirigée vers l'intérieur dotée d'un élément de recueil de lumière fixé en adhérence sur celle-ci, la surface dirigée vers l'extérieur comportant de préférence une superficie supérieure à celle de la surface de recueil de lumière. Chaque élément optique comprend en outre deux surfaces d'orientation de lumière, ou plus, qui reflètent à l'intérieur la lumière et la concentrent sur les éléments de recueil de lumière lorsque la lumière est incidente sur une première plage d'angles, et transmettent la lumière lorsque la lumière est incidente sur une seconde plage d'angles.
