ABSTRACT Improvements Relating to Laundry Pressing Machines A laundry pressing machine has a flexible sheet (4) resting on a perforated frame (5). Articles (10) to be pressed are laid on the sheet (4) and a framework (2) is closed onto a supporting framework (1) so that the article (10) is overlaid with a further flexible sheet (6). Air is then withdrawn through an air vent pipe (8) to cause the article (10) to be gripped tightly between the sheets (4) and (6). Finally air or liquid, preferably warmed, is pumped in through a pipe (9) to cause the sheets (4) and (6) to bow upwardly so that the article (10) is stretched to remove wrinkles.
