Description

A minimally invasive system and method for vertebral body augmentation includes an expandable containment device, a chassis including an interior cavity for at least partially enclosing the expandable containment device, a first guidewire, a working cannula, a second guidewire having at least a partially flexible distal end portion and a sleeve for introducing bone filler material through a cannulated passageway of the sleeve and into an interior cavity of the containment device. The containment device preferably includes a plurality of pores for directing the outflow of bone filler material anteriorly within the vertebral body. The containment device and chassis are left interior to the vertebral body subsequent to height restoration and augmentation of the vertebral body.

L'invention porte sur un système et un procédé à invasion minimale pour augmentation de corps vertébral, comprenant un dispositif de confinement expansible, un châssis comprenant une cavité intérieure destinée à renfermer au moins partiellement le dispositif de confinement extensible, un premier fil de guidage, une canule de travail, un second fil de guidage comportant au moins une partie d'extrémité distale partiellement flexible et un manchon destiné à introduire un matériau de charge osseux par un passage cannelé du manchon dans la cavité intérieure du dispositif de confinement. Le dispositif de confinement comprend de préférence une pluralité de pores destinés à diriger antérieurement l'écoulement extérieur du matériau de charge osseux dans le corps vertébral. Le dispositif de confinement et le châssis sont laissés à l'intérieur par rapport au corps vertébral à la suite d'une restauration de hauteur et d'une augmentation du corps vertébral.
