The present invention relates generally to a woven product exhibiting arc protection, and specifically to a woven product which exhibits an arc thermal protective value of at least 8.0 throughout the period of at least 125 cumulative wash and wear cycles. The woven product comprises an aramid fibrous component and a flame retardant rayon or malamine fibrous component. The fibrous components are preferentially blended in the ratio of at least 50% aramid to the remainder flame retardant rayon or malamine.

L'invention concerne, d'une manière générale, un produit tissé possédant une protection contre un arc et, plus précisément, un produit tissé présentant une valeur de protection thermique contre un arc d'au moins 0,8 pendant au moins 125 cycles de lavage et d'usure cumulés. Le produit tissé comprend un composant de fibres aramide et un composant de fibres de rayonne ou de malamine ignifuges. Les composants de fibres sont, de préférence, mélangés selon le rapport d'au moins 50 % d'aramide à la rayonne ou malamine ignifuge restante.
