A lubricating oil composition prepared by blending a lube base oil with (A) at least either molybdenum dithiocarbamate or molybdenum dithiophosphate and (B) an aromatic compound having at least one functional group selected from among hydroxyl, carboxyl, mercapto and thiocarboxyl groups on the aromatic ring. This composition enables the maintenance of low frictional characteristics and the continuation of fuel-cost saving performance over a long period, and can be reduced in the amount of an organomolybdenum compound to be added as a friction modifier.
La présente invention concerne une composition d'huile de lubrification obtenue par mélange d'une huile lubrifiante de base avec (A) au moins du dithiocarbamate de molybdène ou du dithiophosphate de molybdène et (B) un composé aromatique portant sur le noyau aromatique au moins un groupe fonctionnel choisi parmi les groupes hydroxyle, carbonyle, mercapto et thiocarbonyle. Cette composition, qui permet de maintenir les caractéristiques de frottement à un bas niveau et un fonctionnement économique en carburant pendant une longue durée, permet également de réduire la quantité de composé organomolybdénique à ajouter comme modificateur de frottement.
