The invention concerns a method for eliminating, reducing, and/or suppressing halogenated compounds, and more particularly chlorinated compounds, contained in a gas or liquid, which consists in contacting the gas or liquid with a composition obtained by depositing on an alumina at least a compound comprising at least one element selected among alkalis, and subsequent to the deposit, in calcining the alumina at a temperature not less than 600 DEG C. When at least one compound comprising at least one element selected among the alkaline earths or rare earths, is deposited on the alumina, the temperature at which the alumina is calcined is at least 500 DEG C.
La présente invention est relative à un procédé pour éliminer, réduire et/ou supprimer les composés halogénés, et plus particulièrement les composés chlorés, contenus dans un gaz ou un liquide, dans lequel on met en contact le gaz ou le liquide avec une composition obtenue par dépôt sur une alumine d'au moins un composé comprenant au moins un élément choisi parmi les alcalins, suivie après le dépôt, d'une calcination de l'alumine à une température d'au moins 600 °C. Lorsqu'au moins un composé comprenant au moins un élément choisi parmi les alcalino-terreux et les terres rares, est déposé sur l'alumine, la température de calcination de l'alumine est d'au moins 500 °C.
