A method for manufacturing a plant support, wherein a box-shaped element (1) is manufactured having an at least partially open wall, the box-shaped element (1) being at least partially covered with a preferably substantially biodegradable covering material (20), said covering material (20) being provided in such a manner that it covers the partially open wall at least partially, such that the wall becomes soil-proof, while roots of a plant or the like, growing in the pot during use, can grow at least partially through the covering material (20) and the wall to the outside of the plant support (1). Such plant supports (1) can be used to raise plants and the like at a first position and subsequently displacing them to a second, definitive position, where the plant supports (1) can be secured in or to the ground. The plant supports (1) can be provided with a substantially vertical guide element (2) along which a guide plant can be cultivated. By juxtaposing a number of said plant supports ( 1), a continuous hedge is obtained.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un support pour plante, comprenant la fabrication d'un élément (1) en forme de boîte dont une paroi au moins est partiellement ouverte, ledit élément en forme de boîte étant au moins partiellement recouvert d'un matériau (20) de recouvrement de préférence sensiblement biodégradable. Ce matériau (20) de recouvrement est disposé de manière à recouvrir la paroi partiellement ouverte, tout du moins partiellement, de manière que ladite paroi soit étanche au sol, mais que les racines d'une plante ou analogue, poussant dans le pot lors de l'utilisation, puissent croître, tout du moins partiellement, à travers le matériau (20) de recouvrement et la paroi vers l'extérieur du support (1) pour plante. Les supports (1) pour plante de ce type peuvent être utilisés pour faire pousser des plantes et analogues en un premier emplacement, puis pour les déplacer vers un second emplacement définitif, où les supports (1) pour plante peuvent être fixés dans ou sur le sol. Ces supports (1) pour plante peuvent également servir d'élément (2) de guidage sensiblement vertical le long duquel une plante peut être cultivée. En juxtaposant un certain nombre de ces supports (1) pour plantes, on obtient une haie continue.
