A device for pre-processing a synthetic thermoplastic material, such as polyester waste, comprises at least two containers connected in series, in each of which a comminuting and mixing tool rotates at the base of the containers about a vertical axis. At least the downstream container has an evacuation duct which can also be used to introduce an inert gas if required. The containers are connected by a sleeve in which there is a stop valve to facilitate trouble free maintenance of the vacuum in the downstream container until the valve is opened, thus allowing the vacuum in the container to draw in the material in the upstream container. In the upstream container (as seen in the flow-direction of the material), the material in pre-comminuted, pre-heated, pre-dried and pre-compacted and that process is enhanced by the turbulence in the material as it is sucked into the downstream container. Completely homogenous material is thus transported for further processing by a worm which is connected to the last container.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif de prétraitement d'un matériau thermoplastique de synthèse tel que des déchets de polyester, qui comprend au moins deux enceintes raccordées en série, chacune comportant dans le fond un outil rotatif de déchiquetage-malaxage à axe vertical. L'enceinte aval au moins comporte un tuyau d'évacuation qui peut aussi servir à l'introduction d'un gaz inerte au besoin. Les enceintes sont raccordées l'une à l'autre par un manchon équipé robinet d'arrêt permettant de maintenir sans problème le vide dans l'enceinte aval jusqu'à l'ouverture du robinet qui entraîne automatiquement l'aspiration du matériau hors de l'enceinte amont. Dans l'enceinte amont, la matériau est pré-déchiqueté, préchauffé, préséché et précompacté, le compactage étant accentué par l'écoulement tourbillonnaire du matériau aspiré dans l'enceinte aval. On obtient ainsi un matériau parfaitement homogène acheminé par vis sans fin vers une autre étape de traitement.
