Disclosed is a swiveling piston engine comprising a plurality of pistons (24 to 30) which are arranged in a housing (12) and jointly rotate around an axis of rotation (34) that runs essentially along the center of the housing and is stationary in relation to the housing(12). Each of said pistons (24 to 30) swivels back and forth around a swiveling axis (32) while rotating inside the housing (12), two adjacent pistons (24 to 30) swiveling in opposite directions. The inside of the housing (12) is globular. The swiveling axes (32) of pistons 24 to 30 is formed by a common swiveling axis (32) running essentially through the center (66) of the housing.
L'invention concerne un moteur à pistons oscillants comportant une pluralité de pistons (24 à 30) disposés dans un carter (12) et tournant ensemble autour d'un axe (34) ayant une position fixe et sensiblement centrée dans le carter. Lors de leur déplacement dans ledit carter (12), ces pistons effectuent des mouvements oscillants alternatifs autour d'un axe de pivotement (32) respectif, deux pistons adjacents (24 à 30) se déplaçant en sens opposés. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que l'intérieur du carter (12) est sphérique, les axes de pivotement (32) des pistons 24 à 30 étant formés par un axe de pivotement (32) commun, qui traverse pratiquement le centre (66) du carter.
