The card comprises a substrate (10b) and a recording portion (10c) disposed on the substrate for writing data. The recording portion (10c) is a layer made of a substance whose physical properties reversibly change by heating for visibly recording data by local heating according to a heating pattern corresponding to an image of data to be recorded.
