Provided are a recording device, a recording method, a reproduction device, a reproduction method, a recording medium, and a program, which make it possible to reproduce a recording medium such as a BD on which the base image stream and extended image stream generated by coding multi-viewpoint video data using a predetermined coding system are recorded even in a device not conforming to the reproduction of the multi-viewpoint video data. An MVC header is prohibited from coding in an Access Unit in which a Base view video is stored. A view component stored in an Access Unit with no MVC header is defined to be recognized that the view id is 0. The present invention is applicable to a reproduction device conforming to the BD-ROM standard.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'enregistrement, un procédé d'enregistrement, un dispositif de reproduction, un procédé de reproduction, un support d'enregistrement et un programme, qui permettent de reproduire un support d'enregistrement tel qu'un BD sur lequel sont enregistrés le flux d'image de base et le flux d'image étendu générés par codage de données vidéo à partir de multiples points de vue à l'aide d'un système de codage prédéterminé, même dans un dispositif ne se conformant pas à la reproduction de données vidéo à partir de multiples points de vue. Un en-tête MVC est empêché d'être codé dans une Unité d'Accès dans laquelle une vidéo de vue de Base est stockée. Un composant de vue stocké dans une Unité d'Accès sans aucun en-tête MVC est défini pour être reconnu par le fait que l'identifiant de vue est 0. La présente invention est applicable à un dispositif de reproduction se conformant au standard BD-ROM.
