ABSTRACT In an LED array head type electrophotographic recording apparatus in which a latent image is formed on a photo-sensitive member 40 by light emitted from an LED array 1A, and is then developed into a visible image; the LED array comprises: a PN junction semiconductor (2 through 7) for emitting light; and a light blocking layer 8 formed in such a manner as to cover the light emitting surface of the PN junction semiconductor, and having a plurality of small holes 8a at predetermined intervals through which the light emitted from the PN junction semiconductor is passed in the form of light beams, and the distance between the LED array lA and the photo-sensitive member 40 is limited to a predetermined distance or less with which the light beams advancing through the small holes do not interfere with one another.
