A stable, aqueous polymeric composition which forms a clear to translucent film upon application to a substrate includes, by weight, 5 - 75 % of (a) a water-soluble polymer having (b) in situ-formed, substantially water-insoluble resinous particles of said polymer substantially uniformly dispersed therein, and (c) 25 - 95 % of water.

L'invention concerne une composition polymère aqueuse, stable, permettant de former une pellicule claire à transparente lorsqu'elle est appliquée sur un substrat. Cette composition contient (a) entre 5 et 75 % en masse d'un polymère hydrosoluble renfermant (b) des particules résineuses sensiblement hydrosolubles, formées in situ, dudit polymère, dispersées de façon sensiblement uniforme dans le polymère, et (c) entre 25 et 95 % en masse d'eau.
