A system which enables a user to preview a document by providing a user interface and inputting, via the user interface, information specifying an arrangement of components to create the document, the components including at least two of: a printed page (639), a tab page (634), a blank page, a front cover (630), a back cover (660), and a binding (632). Digital images of at least some of the components specified by the input information are obtained and an image (620) of the document is generated by combining the digital images of at least some of the components in a manner so as to simulate an appearance of the document were the document to be physically assembled according to the input information. The image (620) of the document is then caused to be displayed.
La présente invention concerne un système de prévisualisation d'un document grâce à une interface utilisateur et à la possibilité d'entrer, via ladite interface, des informations précisant l'agencement d'éléments constitutifs en vue de la création du document. Ces éléments constitutifs comprennent, à raison de deux chaque fois : une page imprimée (639), une page à onglet (634), une page blanche, une première de couverture (630), une quatrième de couverture (660) et une reliure (632). On crée des images numériques de certains au moins des éléments constitutifs définis par les informations entrées et l'on génère une image (620) du document en combinant lesdites images numériques de manière à faire apparaître en simulation le document au cas tel qu'il se présenterait s'il était concrètement assemblée selon les instructions données. Les images (620) du document sont ensuite affichées.
