A system, method, and apparatus for transmitting a packet from a (110) server to a wireless client (105), using direct digital calls, wherein the server initiates the call are presented. The server transmits a packet (305) addressed to an Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with the wireless client. The packet is received y a wireless application gateway (140) which maintains a table correlating (310) IP addresses with mobile services integrated services digital network (MSISDN) numbers or mobile identification numbers (MIN). The MSISDN/MIN number is then used to request routing information. In response to the request, a dynamic IP address (344) and a traffic channel are allocated to the wireless client. The dynamic IP address is transmitted to the wireless application protocol gateway. Upon receiving the IP address, the wireless application protocol gateway transmits the digital data communication towards the IP address. The digital data communication is received by a serving mobile switching center (120) which causes the digital data communication to be transmitted to the wireless client using the allocated traffic channel.
L'invention concerne un système, un procédé, et un dispositif destinés à transmettre un paquet d'un serveur (110) vers un abonné mobile (105), par l'intermédiaire d'appels numériques directs, le serveur initiant l'appel. Le serveur transmet un paquet (305) adressé à une adresse de protocole Internet (IP) associée à l'abonné mobile. Le paquet est reçu par une passerelle d'application sans fil (140) qui maintient un tableau mettant des adresses IP en corrélation (310) avec des numéros MSISDN ou MIN. Ce numéro MSISDN/MIN est ensuite utilisé afin de demander des informations d'adresse. En réponse à cette demande, une adresse IP dynamique (344) et un canal de trafic sont attribués à l'abonné mobile. L'adresse IP dynamique est transmise à une passerelle de protocole d'application. Après réception de l'adresse IP, la passerelle de protocole d'application mobile transmet la communication de données numériques vers l'adresse IP. Cette communication de données numériques est reçue par un centre de commutation mobile protecteur (120) permettant de transmettre la communication de données numériques à l'abonné mobile par l'intermédiaire du canal de trafic attribué.
