A direct thermal printable facestock (11) has an adhesive-coated back surface (18) and a release coat (24) applied over a layer of thermal imaging material (16) on a front surface (14) so the facestock (11) can be wound and unwound without using a separate release liner. The release coat (24) is composed of two release agents (26 and 28). One of the release agents (26) is a solid such as tetrafluoroethylene ground into specifically sized particles, and the other release agent (28) is a curable liquid such as silicone within which the particles of the solid release agent (26) are embedded for mechanically cleaning a thermal print head (48).

Cette invention concerne une pellicule frontale (11) pour impression thermique directe qui comporte une face arrière (18) recouverte d'adhésif ainsi qu'un revêtement de décollage (24) appliqué par dessus une couche de matière (16) pour imagerie thermique, disposée sur une surface frontale (14), de manière à ce que la pellicule frontale (11) puisse être enroulée et déroulée sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'utiliser une doublure de décollage séparée. Ledit revêtement de décollage (24) est composé de deux agents de décollage (26 et 28).
