An ice protection device for a pond or the like comprises a hollow thermally- insulated body (1) with one end thereof open, the body being adapted to float on water with the open end at a distance below the surface of the water greater than the maximum expected thickness of ice formed on the water. The body has a generally planar flange (5) projecting around the outside thereof so as to rest on the surface of the water, and an enlarged head portion (6) above the flange with at least one vent opening (9) into the space between the head portion and the flange to allow the passage of air into the hollow body and gases out of the hollow body.
L'invention concerne un dispositif anti-glace pour étangs ou analogues, comprenant un corps (1) creux isolé thermiquement dont une extrémité est ouverte, ledit corps étant conçu pour flotter sur l'eau avec son extrémité ouverte située sous la surface de l'eau, à une distance supérieure à l'épaisseur maximale attendue de la glace formée sur l'eau. Le corps comporte un bord (5) généralement plat dépassant du pourtour extérieur dudit corps de manière à reposer sur la surface de l'eau, et une partie tête (6) élargie, située au-dessus du bord, un évent (9) au moins étant prévu dans l'espace entre la partie tête et le bord pour permettre le passage d'air dans le corps creux et l'expulsion de gaz hors du corps creux.
