A fastener element (7, 24, 30, 41, 50, 60) is adapted to be secured in a blind hole (12) formed in a first component (13) to be connected to a second component (14) generally provided with an aligned blind hole. The element is of generally cylindrical shape with an outer surface provided with a series of anchoring formations (10, 32, 43) following a generally helical path along at least a part of its length. The formations are configured to enable the element to be forcibly introduced, at least partially, without rotation thereof, axially into a blind hole in said first component to anchor the element therein. The fastener element either has a shank permanently associated therewith (7) or one or more formations (34, 43, 45) for the operative retention of a cooperant end of a separate shank (36, 43). The shank has an engagement zone (9, 22, 23, 37, 42, 71) whereby rotation of the element can be effected about its axis to result in axial movement of the element relative to the hole to tighten a joint. The invention also provides components and a method of joining them using the fasteners.
L~élément de fixation (7, 24, 30, 41, 50, 60) selon l~invention est adapté pour se fixer dans un trou borgne (12) formé dans un premier composant (13) à raccorder à un second composant (14) généralement équipé d~un trou borgne aligné. L~élément a généralement une forme cylindrique et une surface externe équipée d~une série de points d~ancrage (10, 32, 43) qui suivent une voie généralement en forme d~hélice le long d~au moins une partie de sa longueur. Les points d~ancrage sont configurés pour pouvoir introduire l~élément, au moins partiellement, sans le faire tourner, selon un axe dans un trou borgne dudit premier composant pour y ancrer l~élément. L~élément de fixation comporte soit une tige toujours associée (7), soit un ou plusieurs points d~ancrage (34, 43, 45) pour la rétention efficace d~une extrémité associée d~une tige indépendante (36, 43). La tige comporte une zone d~engagement (9, 22, 23, 37, 42, 71) grâce à laquelle la rotation de l~élément peut être réalisée autour de son axe pour entraîner un mouvement axial de l~élément par rapport au trou pour serrer un raccord. L~invention propose également des composants et un procédé d~accouplement des composants à l~aide de fixations.
