A wireless monitoring device used for childcare and smoke detection is disclosed. The wireless monitoring device comprises a signal sensor, capable of detecting data on temperature and light changes and emitting the data via an infrared emitter; a signal transceiver having an infrared receiver, a radio emitter, a camera lens, and a microphone so as to emit video data as well as data received from infrared receiver out via the radio emitter; a monitoring device having a radio receiver, capable of playing radio signals received via monitor and speaker. As a result, the signal sensor can be placed on the monitored person and once there is any incident involving the monitored person, the monitor will immediately send out warning notifications to a caregiver in addition to displaying the monitored view via the monitor so that the caregiver can handle the incident in a timely manner. Therefore, the safety and health of the monitored person can be insured, while the caregiver can have adequate rest.
