The invention relates to a cell-free translation system using cell extracts, that reproduces the synergism that occurs during translation in vivo between the cap and the poly(A) tail structures of an mRNA molecule. Using this system, the amount of encoded protein produced from translation of an mRNA molecule is greater thant the total of (a) the amount of the encoded protein that is produced under the same conditions when the ribonucleic acid template has a 5' cap but no 3' poly A tail, plus (b) the amount of the encoded protein that is produced under the same conditions when the ribonucleic acid template has a 3' poly A tail but no 5' cap.

L'invention concerne un système de traduction acellulaire dans lequel on utilise des extraits cellulaires, de manière à reproduire la synergie se produisant lors de la traduction in vivo entre les structures du type coiffe et du type poly(A) d'une molécule de l'ARNm. A l'aide de ce système, on obtient une quantité de protéine codée produite à partir de la traduction d'une molécule d'ARNm, qui est supérieure au total de (a) la quantité de la protéine codée produite dans les mêmes conditions, lorsque la matrice d'acide ribonucléique possède une coiffe 5' mais pas une extrémité poly A 3', et de (b) la quantité de la protéine codée produite dans les mêmes conditions, lorsque la matrice d'acide ribonucléique possède une extrémité poly A 3', mais pas de coiffe 5'.
