A composite helmet (50) is provided for a body mount. The helmet (50) includes an interior structural load bearing skeleton (70) including an elongated cylinder (52), and a disk or washer (56) mold-bonded with the polymeric or elastomeric portion of the helmet. The elastomeric portion (30) of the helmet includes an elongated axial portion that encompasses the metal cylinder and an over-mold layer, if desired, over the metal disk. In some instances, a ring is incorporated into the shroud for increased strength and rigidity.

Ce casque comprend une ossature intérieure de support de charges structurelles constituée d'un cylindre allongé et d'un disque ou d'une rondelle liée par moulage à la partie polymère ou élastomère du casque. La partie élastomère du casque comprend une partie axiale allongée englobant le cylindre métallique et une couche surmoulée, si nécessaire, par-dessus le disque métallique.
