The invention concerns a continuous casting mould to cast billets, preferably made of steel. Said mould consists of mould plates (3) and water reservoirs (6) that are interconnected. A water cooling system assisted by water inflow channels (7) is built between the former and the latter. The invention is characterized by placing the water inflow channels (7) on the side (5) of the mould plate (3) that faces the water reservoir (6) and not on the mould plate (3). One of several advantages is that the construction of the "mould plate", which is the part that wears is significantly simplified, a more even cooling of the plate is achieved and the quality of the billets is improved.
L'invention concerne une coquille pour la coulée en continu de brames, de préférence de brames en acier, constituée de plaques de coquille (3) et de boîtes à eau (6) qui sont reliées ensemble et entre lesquelles est constitué un système de refroidissement à eau au moyen de canaux conduisant l'eau (7). L'invention se caractérise en ce que les canaux conduisant l'eau (7) sont placés dans le côté (5) de la boîte à eau (6) faisant face à la plaque de coquille (3) et non dans la plaque de coquille (3). L'avantage d'une telle disposition se traduit, entre autre, par une simplification nette de la construction de la pièce d'usure appelée "plaque de coquille" ainsi que par un refroidissement de la plaque plus régulier et par une amélioration de la qualité de brames.
