An apparatus lowers and raises rear suspension for motorcycles having a swing arm rear suspension, a frame and at least one shock absorber extending from the frame to the swing arm suspension. The apparatus includes a fluid actuator interposed between the shock absorber and the swing arm. Fluid controls allow fluid to flow towards a first portion of the actuator when the suspension is raised and allow fluid to flow away from the first portion of the actuator when the suspension is lowered. The actuator may a hydraulic cylinder with a piston, the first portion being within the cylinder on one side of the piston. There may be a fluid reservoir connected to the cylinder by hydraulic lines.
