The computer system includes a chassis having a backplane (40) with ground pads (74) thereon for contacting fingers formed in channels in the chassis. The system further includes a plurality of disk drives mounted on trays which have rear pins that engage guide apertures (52) of the backplane (40). Backplane (40) is inserted within the channels and held therein by a pair of levers (78) which engage with catch members on the chassis. The backplane (40) includes ground pads (74) connected to a ground plane within the backplane (40). Ground pads (74) engage with fingers on the channels to provide an electrical interconnection between the chassis and the backplane (40). After the backplane (40) is inserted, the disk drives are pushed into place such that the rear pins secure the backplane (40) in position, and the respective connectors engage.
Système informatique comprenant un châssis possédant un fond de panier (40) sur lequel se trouvent des plots de terre (74) servant à établir un contact avec des doigts situés dans des canaux du châssis. Ce système comprend, de plus, une pluralité d'unités de disques montées sur des plateaux pourvus de broches arrières s'introduisant dans des ouvertures de guidage (52) du fond de panier (40). Ce dernier est inséré à l'intérieur des canaux et maintenu dans les canaux par une paire de leviers (78) s'accouplant à des éléments de prise sur le châssis. Le fond de panier (40) comporte des plots de terre (74) reliés à un plan de terre à l'intérieur dudit fond de panier (40). Ces plots de terre (74) s'accouplent aux doigts situés dans les canaux afin d'établir une liaison électrique entre le châssis et le fond de panier (40). Après l'insertion du fond de panier (40), on pousse les unités de disques afin de les mettre en place, de sorte que les broches arrières fixent le fond de panier (40) dans sa position et les connecteurs respectifs s'accouplent.
