The fibre splicing module comprises a receiver housing with a lengthwise cavity leading to two orifices for inserting fibres through two end walls of the housing, a device for immobilizing the fibres and means of applying pressure located in the cavity and a snap closure cap on the housing. The fibre immobilizing device (2) substantially blocks the cavity and carries the said means for applying pressure (3) thus received at face a groove (4) provided in the bottom of the cavity and located in line with the said orifices. The snap cap means on the housing defines two positions of the said device in the cavity, for passage of the fibres and immobilization thereof in the groove.

Le module d'épissure pour fibre comporte un boîtier récepteur doté d'une cavité longitudinal débouchante par deux orifices d'insertion de fibre à travers deux parois d'extrémité du boîtier, un élément immobilisateur de fibres et des moyens presseurs loges dans la cavité et un capot de fermeture encliquetable sur le boîtier. L'élément immobilisateur de fibre (2) obture sensiblement la cavité et porte lesdits moyens presseurs (3) ainsi reçus à face une rainure (4) prévue dans le fond de la cavité et située dans le prolongement desdits orifices. Des moyens d'encliquetage du capot sur le boîtier définissent deux positions dudit élément dans la cavité, pour le passage des fibre et leur immobilisation dans la rainure.
