The present invention relates to a non-aqueous denture adhesive composition comprising a safe and effective adhesive amount of a denture adhesive; a safe and effective amount of an anticalculus agent; and a non-aqueous denture adhesive carrier; wherein the anticalculus agent is a material effective in reducing calcium phosphate mineral deposition related to calculus formation. The present invention further relates to a method of delivering an anticalculus agent to the oral cavity and teeth, by applying the above composition to dentures, directly to the oral cavity, or applying it to both, and thereafter securing the dentures to the oral cavity.
L'invention concerne une composition adhésive pour prothèse dentaire non-aqueuse, comprenant une quantité d'adhésif sûre et efficace d'un adhésif pour prothèse dentaire; une quantité sûre et efficace d'un agent anti-tartre; et un support adhésif non-aqueux pour prothèse dentaire. L'agent anti-tartre consiste en un matériau pouvant réduire le dépôt minéral du phosphate de calcium lié à la formation du tartre. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'administrer un agent anti-tartre à la cavité buccale et aux dents, par application de la composition susmentionnée aux prothèses dentaires ou directement à la cavité buccale, ou par application de ladite composition à la fois aux prothèses dentaires et à la cavité buccale puis par fixation desdites prothèses à la cavité buccale.
