A fibrous insulation batt (30) having a length (L) and a width (W) and including a first and second section (34, 36), where each section is approximately one half the length of the batt, is folded so that the first section (34) is generally parallel to and contacting the second section (36). The batt has two folds (38, 40) across its width and located between the first and second sections. The two folds are spaced apart from each other a distance (d) approximately equal to the thickness (t) of the uncompressed insulation batt. The two sections of the batt remain generally parallel to and contact each other when the batt is laid horizontal and in an unrestrained condition.

La présente invention concerne un panneau isolant fait de fibres (30), de longueur (L) et de largeur (W), qui comprend une première et une deuxième parties (34, 36) dont chacune a une longueur égale approximativement à la moitié de celle du panneau, et qui est plié de telle façon que la première partie (34) soit sensiblement parallèle à la deuxième (36) et en contact avec elle.
