The adsorbent (2) is led through a reactor (1) of a flue gas scrubbing system and a partition (4) separates off a layer (5) on the incident side. Only the adsorbent of that layer reaches a desorption device (8) whose desorption gas is fed into a heavy metal separator (10). Immediately after the desorption treatment, the adsorbent of the layer (5) is combined with the remaining adsorbent and burned. The desorption gas is also burned following the separation of the heavy metals.

L'adsorbant (2) est introduit dans un réacteur (1) d'une installation d'épuration des gaz de fumées, une paroi séparatrice (4) divisant une couche (5) côté écoulement latéral. Seul l'adsorbant de cette couche parvient dans un dispositif de désorption (8), dont le gaz de désorption est envoyé vers un séparateur de métaux lourds.
