A method by which a program can be efficiently installed on a computer in a system in which a number of computers with different configurations are used, in an environment in which a number of computers are connected to each other with a network or in an environment in which both independent computers and computers connected to a network exist is provided. Data necessary for a specified processing which is required in accordance with the environment of the computer on which the program is to be installed are read out of a parameter file and the data read out of the parameter file are calculated as a formula interpretation function which is expressed by a formula including the function and, if the function is actually included in the formula of the formula interpretation function, the function included in the formula interpretation function is executed and the required processing is performed in accordance with the result of the execution. By the required processing, the program is installed so as to be adapted to the environment of the computer on which the program is to be installed.
L'invention porte sur un procédé permettant d'installer efficacement un programme sur l'un des ordinateurs d'un système en comportant plusieurs de configuration différente et dans lequel les ordinateurs sont interconnectés par réseau, ou bien dans lequel il se trouve à la fois des ordinateurs indépendants et des ordinateurs interconnectés par réseau. Les données nécessaires à un traitement spécifié, lequel doit être conforme à l'environnement d'un ordinateur sur lequel le programme doit être installé, sont lues dans un fichier de paramètres puis calculées comme fonction d'interprétation de formules, exprimée par une formule comprenant la fonction et, si la fonction est effectivement comprise dans la formule de la fonction d'interprétation de la formule, la formule comprise dans la fonction d'interprétation de la formule est exécutée et le traitement demandé est effectué conformément au résultat de l'exécution. Le programme installé par le traitement demandé est adapté à l'environnement de l'ordinateur sur lequel il doit être installé.
