An object of the present invention is to provide piperazine derivative and salt thereof having inhibitory effect against superoxide radicals (O2-). The piperazine derivative of the present invention is represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 is a lower alkyl group; R2 is a phenyl-lower alkyl group which may have 1 to 3 substituents, on the phenyl ring, selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a phenyl-lower alkoxy group, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group and a halogen atom; R3 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a phenyl- lower alkyl group; and R4 is a hydroxyl group, a phenyl-lower alkoxy group or a tetrahydropyranyloxy group).

La présente invention a pour objet de fournir des dérivés de pipérazine et un sel de ces dérivés, à effet inhibiteur à l'égard des radicaux superoxyde (O2<->). Le dérivé de pipérazine selon la présente invention est représenté par la formule générale (1), où R<1> est un groupe alkye inférieur; R<2> est un groupe phényle-alkyle inférieur qui peut avoir entre 1 et 3 substituants, sur le cycle phényle, choisi dans le groupe composé d'un groupe hydroxyle, d'un groupe phényle-alcoxy inférieur, d'un groupe alcoxy inférieur et d'un atome d'halogène; R<3> est un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe alkyle inférieur ou un groupe phényle-alcoxy inférieur ou un groupe tétrahydropyranyloxy.
