The invention relates to an electronic ballast for an electrical lamp (2) provided with a first (21) and a second filament (22), said ballast comprising a heating device whcih is used to heat the filaments (21, 22) and comprises a resonance circuit (5), and an evaluation unit (11) designed for the evaluation of at least one measuring value of an electrical parameter during pre-determinable adjustments of operating conditions of the resonance circuit (5). The number of filaments (21, 22) of the electrical lamp (2) in electrical contact with the electronic ballast (1) can be identified according to the measuring value, and the electrical lamp (2) can be switched on by the electronic ballast (1) according to said identified number. The invention also relates to a method for operating an electrical lamp by means of an electronic ballast.

L'invention concerne un ballast électronique d'une lampe électrique (2) comprenant un premier (21) et un deuxième filament (22) et présentant un dispositif chauffant pour le chauffage des filaments (21, 22), le dispositif chauffant comportant un circuit résonant (5), et un ensemble d'évaluation (11) conçu pour évaluer au moins une valeur mesurée d'un paramètre électrique lors de réglages prédéterminés de conditions de fonctionnement du circuit résonant (5). On détermine, en fonction de la valeur mesurée, le nombre de filaments (21, 22) de la lampe électrique (2) en contact électrique avec le ballast électronique (1) et, en fonction du nombre déterminé, la lampe électrique (2) est mise sous tension par le ballast électronique (1).
