The present invention provides novel carbamate oxadiazolone derivatives having general formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are as defined herein, or a nontoxic pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof and are useful in the treatment of disorders which are responsive to the opening of the large conductance calcium-activated potassium channels.
