A process is disclosed for spraying collecting main and sucking away filling gas from a coke oven battery. The gas that rises through the rising pipes is cooled and washed by rinsing water injected through a nozzle into the rising pipe elbow and collecting main. The rinsing water is recycled and the filling gasses are sucked away by injecting an additional amount of water through a high-pressure water pipe. A nozzle (6) is arranged outside of the collecting main elbow (1) so that the whole inner wall and cross-section of the collecting main are sprayed. In addition, rinsing water is supplied to the collecting main (12) by an inner dipping part (5) arranged in the lid of the rising pipe.

Selon un procédé d'irrigation du collecteur de gaz et d'aspiration des gaz de remplissage d'une batterie de fours à coke, le gaz qui monte par les conduites montantes est refroidi et lavé par l'eau de rinçage injectée par un ajutage dans le raccord coudé des conduites montantes et dans le collecteur de gaz.
