The present invention concerns an amphoteric polymer dispersion obtained in the presence of starch and/or starch derivatives by two-stage polymerisation using anionic and cationic monomers. The invention also concerns the use of this dispersion as sizing agents for paper products, coating agents for coating various substrates and binders in pigment-free and pigment-containing coats. The dispersion according to the invention is exceptionally compatible with widely differing sizing agent systems and coating chemicals.

L'invention concerne une dispersion polymère amphotère obtenue par polymérisation en deux étapes, en présence d'amidon et/ou de dérivés d'amidon, à l'aide de monomères anioniques et cationiques. L'invention concerne également son utilisation comme agent d'encollage pour articles en papier, comme agent de revêtement pour recouvrir différents substrats et comme liant dans des revêtements exempts de pigments et dans des revêtements en contenant. Cette dispersion présente une compatibilité exceptionnelle avec les systèmes d'agents d'encollage et les produits chimiques de revêtement les plus variés.
